So I have a Sena 20 bluetooth system in my helmet. Mostly for directions, but also music occasionally.
The speakers are these flat discs that are attached via velcro to the lining of the helmet.
The good - they play loud. Since I sometimes ride with earplugs to drown out the wind and motorcycle noise, you actually need to have the speakers be highly sensitive.
The bad - they are crazy shrill. Like the highs are so unbelievably fatiguing. If I have in my earplugs, not as big of a deal.
So there are a couple of options.
(1) IEM- I have been looking for IEMs that will stay in my ears. The problem being that they need to stay in as I put my helmet on which invariably ends up causing one of them to pull out.
(2) Speaker replacement - Find a replacement driver that is very highly sensitive, can play loud.
Anyone have any suggestions, thoughts for either option?
