If one will use this device ONLY for headphone output, then of course it's expensive, a bit more than twice as much than Echo indigo, though I'd bet it has a better sound quality. If you check the specs and features, and what all this thing offers it is not expensive at all, it's almost the only portable recording device which has powerful DSP on it (besides Focusrite Saffire), specs in short: 24bits/192kHz, S/PDIF, MIDI, 16-in/16-out, mic/guitar in (60dB of gain), DSP 20x, headphone out 2x (one on CardBus), AC/CardBus-powered. Note that is has TWO headphone outputs...
