Breaking news. An Airbus A-340 slid off the runway in Toronto and is on fire. 200 people onboard.

They were reporting severe weather. They probably ran into a microburst. The pilot should no better than to land in weather like that.

Wow that is very scary; I heard it while on the beach at LBI. And to think my new tactic for airline comfort is to sit in the back of the plane since I can't seem to get an upgrade anymore. I (hope and) believe they got many people out alive.

I was just watching the live video feed on MSN, looks really bad. Seems like the airport fire fighters couldn't get to the burning plane for quite some time because it was way in the bushes. You could actually see the fire trucks at the end of the runway trying to make their way to the plane. I hope the casualty count won't be high.

Seem that everybody got out safely 297 passenger 12 crew. Only 14 minor injury. It seem they got out before the fire got serious. I'm glad everybody got out ok.
