The AMS AS3526 DAC is used on Sansa Clip, Fuze, and V2 players.
The Wolfson WM8758 DAC is used on iPod Gen 5/5.5 Classics.
Regardless of features and functions, I am looking for a player with the best SQ. It looks like the Sansa now have a LOD mod so I can just bypass the amp just like in the iPods.
Which player do you prefer just for SQ criteria alone? My preference is in bigger soundstage and transparency for classical and some jazz/soft jazz music with some having vocals.
I did not include iRiver H120/140. With line out and optical out, no doubt this stands out but they are hard to find at the moment.
