Hey guys and gals,

I've been lurking the past few weeks because I was in the market for some new headphones. I recently picked up a pair of K81's because of all the favorable impressions from this board and have been very happy with them. Thanks!

Now I'm thinking of getting a modest amp for them, something like either the Zero Audiocraft Dual Cmoy or the Go-Vibe 5. Both have the option of ordering the amp with low or normal gain. I'm more interested in adding quality than volume. I generally listen to music at low to moderate levels (aside from the occassional rock out). I assume at 32ohms the K81's are considered "efficient"? Would low gain be the way to go?

My source is an ipod nano, if that makes any difference.

Thanks for the help.

the K81 sounds perfectly fine straight from the nano.

They do, but I'm hoping they can sound even better. Although if people don't think it'd make that much of a difference, maybe I'll reconsider.
