Can folks elaborate on the amp. Is it not only sufficient but very capable to drive the Hifiman 1000 or lcd4? In searching threads it is mixed. Some say yes and others say you need an external amp. I am cosidering buying the tt but don't want to need to pair it with an external amp and it will be tough to audition in person. Some have said the mcintosh is better suited for these headphones and aalthough I could see their amp being better I can't imagine the dac is nearby as good. Thanks

You would definitely need a amp for those two headphones.
There are like a hundred different options for them in the high end market.
