Hi all
I use a Ultrasone hfi-780 out of a cowon D2 and was wondering if a cheap amp ( less than 200 dollars) would be of any use for me since the 780 is very easy to drive and has low impedance.
I also use a 75 ohm impedance adaptor because of the D2's bass roll off.

I use an amp with PX100's and D1001's, and can notice an improvement. I had the HF 780's for a while and ran them through an amped (Headamp AE2) ipod. They sounded much better than when I ran them unamped. I think you would be happy with the improvements a good amp would provide.

since ur budget is under $200 .. u can also get a decent cable.

Im using the iBasso d2 boa with my um2s. It makes the bass less muddy. And music sounds fuller with the amp.
I recommend the d2 boa too!

For $20 than your $200 budget ceiling, the iBasso D3 is very highly recommended here as well.
