Hello head-fi; it's been awhile.
I finally got around to selling my extra set of dt770's, and think it's time for an amp upgrade.
Currently; I am listening through dt770 250ohm plugged into a goVibe v4 and pk2's plugged into a 30gb zune.
I am looking for an upgrade to the goVibe I think; as I never really thought it drove my 770s to their fullest. I am more and more using linux on my desktop; and as such a dac/amp combo I can also use at work on my laptop (eeePc or lenova, both with fairly crappy headphone outs).
With these thoughts in mind; and without trying to research to the point of tripling my perceived budget (~150usd this time, last time I started at ~50usd and bought 770s and goVibe) I leave you with my choice:
HeadRoom Total BitHead
The only thing I dislike upon review on this amp is no walwart. I can still use my xfi via line in if I want to game in windows; but usb dac for linux + eee/work laptop.
Is this a good choice for me? Noticeable difference on my well worn dt770s?
Thanks,
-Chris
