Im new here so not sure how much advice I can give. The HD595 arent hard to drive at all and neither are the ad700's. I own the HD595's and prefere them over the sound of the ad700 as my dad owns them.

The difference the amp will make wont be night and day and will only give it a little more punch for these phones. Its's not untill you reach HD650, HD600 etc that amps are required. Although the amp will give better results.

Are you buying the soundcard for music alone or for games etc aswell?

Thought of going down a amp/dac unit instead such as the Fubar III?

Oh and any purchase of a dac unit such as an external one or a soundcard will make improvements to your sound. Hope that helps to give you some more imformation
