I also posted this query in the Headphones forum, but it may be more appropriate here.

I have the 600 OHM version of the AKG K240 DF and am about to get the 250 OHM version of the DT880. I have a Resonessence Concero HP (USB driven dac/amp combo). It is not up to the job of driving the K240 DFs @ 600 OHM. Will it be enough to drive the DT880s @ 250 OHM?

Would an O2 headphone amp (e.g., Massdrop or JDS) be sufficient to drive these headphones? If not, are there comparably priced HP amps that would generate enough power and voltage swing to handle them?

Any advice welcome. Thanks!

The O2 looks like it might struggle a little bit... 88mW at 600 Ohms?

A Schiit Magni 3 (230mW at 600 Ohms), or Topping A30 (143mW at 600 Ohms) might be better choices, and they are each ~30usd less expensive.

While I have never used the Topping or the O2, so I cannot speak to how they sound. I am a fan of tubes, and not willing to put a bunch of money into a solid state amp. The Magni 3 is my go to SS amp.
