Hey, when I go to university later this year I'll be buying a laptop, most likely the apple macbook, which has a digital out (not sure about analog input/outputs), and I will either be taking my grado sr-60's or selling those for a higher end sennheiser/beyer. Now I wouldn't want to look like a loner just sitting in my room all the time listening to music on my phones, and I imagine there's always an occasion to have speakers, so what decent amplifier is there that can power both speakers and headphones from a laptop source?

I have a Little Dot III. It's a great headphone amplifier and has 5-way binding posts on the back to hook up speakers. Note the speakers have got to be pretty efficient as the power output is only 3.5W per channel.
