Hi guys,

I wanted some suggestions for a desktop amp for my dt 990s..

What I love most about the, is their amazing clarity, nothing at all muddy!

I love their bass capabilities and yes, they can be a tad harsh sometimes in trble, although I hear tube amps make for a warmer sound.

Budget is max 150$:

Little Dot 1+?

Little Dot MK ii?

What else in this budget and make for a good pairing? Thanks!!

BTW, my source is PC ---> Fiio e10 Amp/DAC.

Hi,

Also interested in a good pairing for my future DT-990.

For now I run with PC > M2tech Hiface > Musical Fidelity V-DAC > Bowers & Wilkins P5 or PC > iBasso DX50 (DAC mode) > B&W P5, but the Hiface and V-DAC are moving from my desk and I prefer too keep my DX50 for a travelling solution.

I have used the little dot MK II and it did a good job with the beyerdynamic T90 that I have owned in the past. But I had to swap out the tubes to do the headphone justice as the stock tubes was ew. The Vali 2 just came out recently, that might be a good option for you or even the magni 2 but i haven't used either one. So i know the little dot MkII is a good option, Also you might be able to find a cheap used Audio-GD NFB 12 or 12.1 if your lucky within your budget in the trading section.
