I just recently got this sound card to allow me to record high quality audio on the go (M-Audio Audiophile USB). The plesant "side effect" is that the sound card also has a really good DAC, and is great for listening as well as recording. I can't seem to find information on the headphone amp section of this audio card though and I would like to know if I can get away with using some higher end cans without an amp. This is a proffesional audio card so I would hope that it would have a better amp section then a standard audio card, but I would like to know for sure. I want to get a pair of sennheiser 580's, but I do not have enough to get them and an amp.
