Hey all,
 
I need some assistance for a recommendation to drive to my DT770s (250ohm).

I currently have an E10K with a set of SHP9500s, the amp has no issues driving the Philips however I am looking for an upgrade to suite my Beyers.
 
I am currently looking at a Schiit Magni 2 (Non uber, no use for preouts/lineouts), my question is ...
 
Is it a worthwhile upgrade getting the Modi 2 or would by existing E10K be suitable for a dedicated DAC?
 
I live in Canada therefore availability is very limited and ordering from the US is mighty expensive

Doesn't sound like you have any issues in your E10K now, so I don't see any problem using it as a DAC alone.  I suspect that in blind tests, you wouldn't be able to tell any difference between it and the Modi.
 
Currently using my E10 as a DAC into my O2.  Works just fine.
