I have HD800 and I'm driving it w/ modded LCB clone and Lavry DA11. I think I need better amp

I've already done that, read a lot here. It seems HDVD800 can be one of the good solution.

The best I have heard my HD800s were out of tube amplifiers, with the Cavalli Liquid Glass and Eddie Current Balancing Act being the two best so far.  They sound great out of Bottlehead amps as well if you are into DIY and looking for something lower priced.
 
One would think that Sennheiser's own amp would be a good pairing, but I haven't heard one yet.

Thanks for recommendations... "Bottlehead Mainline" seems interesting and the price is $1K. With NOS tubes and Mercury Magnetics custom trainies can sound great.

As for Solid state amps, (under/around 1k) the Full sized soloist does an outstanding job with the Sennhs.

I had a friend who owned a pair of HD800 and he thinks they sound boring, and really have no soul. Maybe a tube amplifier?

Yes HD800 loves tubes but if for Solid State: Violectric V200 and HDVD 800 are the two that comes to mind that seems to synergize well.

Wa2 works rather well for hd800.

you should try the wa7 fireflies. i have this amp and its pretty damn good.

Thanks for all inputs. I've built Bottlehead's Crack w/ Speedball HD800 sings beautiful. Thank you all especially who gave me the idea for the amazing Crack.
