- Budget? ~$150
- Solid State/Tube? Honestly, I read up on it and I have no idea, I initially decided on Solid State.


i know it aint solid state nor less the 150 bucks. but the eddie current EC-01. (don't need for the EC/DC in your case) the EC-01 is 350 bucks, tube and perhaps the most organic sounding tandem i have ever heard. the bass is there but the space, detail and lively presentations makes this a ABSOLUTE steal. i got a chance to listen to several amps at a local meet from corda, melos, single power, wheatfield, dark voices... dollar for dollar the EC-01 i think will be your best bet.

if it has to be solid state and 150 bucks... do the creek obh-11. its well respected and plentiful.

Perhaps you should consider the Go-Vibe 5 with a PSU. Well under $150.
