Hello all. Getting a pair of D2000s for Xmas and wondering if anyone has any amp recommendations. Probably won't be getting it right away, but wanted to start researching anyway.

I listen to post rock, electronic and hip-hop. Thanks!

I dont' have my D2000's yet, but some have recommended the Head Direct EF1, also generally people reccomend hybrid or solid state amps over tubes for this headphone. Kicas Caliente would be another good choice, or perhaps a little dot mark v.

now I have a question for you, and any others that have an answer, where the heck did you buy your D2000's. The top 10 cheapest places online right now are all out of stock, and have been for 2 weeks. You can still get them if you want to pay 250+ though.

Rudistor rpx-33 sounds really good with my d7000, since its from the same line as the d2000 this one should sound great to.

This is a useful thread.

I've just got hold of a Shanling PH100 and it's a great amp. I was wondering if it you pair well with the D2000 as they sound just what im looking for.

Check Currawong's thread about Audio-gd's C2C. My D5000's went to a whole another level compared to my Little Dot MKIV SE. MS-Pro's doesn't sound bad from it either. Oh, and my friend also liked the amp with his D2000's.
