I'm getting ready to order a pair of Sennheiser HD650s and I am just wondering what I should get to power them.  I will only be using them on my PC, for listening to music and playing games, so do I get a good sound card like an ASUS Xonar STX?  Or do I get an amp or DAC?  I really don't know much about AMPS and DACS, I am very new to this.

If you're going to play games, definitely use a sound card. The Essence STX is mostly designed for music, but still has Dolby Headphone for games, and is ideal for high impedance headphones like the HD650.

Okay, so I guess the asus essence stx is the best option.
