I definitely want to buy an amp and possibly a new pair of headphones as well this week while the black friday sales are going on. I do electronic music production and the most important thing to me is accuracy in my headphones. I need my mixes to sound as close as possible on speakers as they do in my headphones. I realize that mixing in headphones is not ideal but its my only choice right now. I cannot have monitors where I live so I will be producing mainly on headphones and checking my work in the studio when I can on monitors. Right now I only have v-moda m100's plugged straight into my macbook and the bass is lacking big time on them. When I plug them into my mixer connected to the cdj's it is like night and day. Im wondering if I just buy a good amp will these headphones be accurate enough to do production with or should I upgrade my headphones also to something like dt880's or hd650's? Im open to any other headphone suggestions and I would like to know if anyone can also recommend a good amp that will suit my needs. My budget is about $600. Thanks ahead of time for any help that can be provided!

You should consider getting a Fiio E17 or a Magni/Modi combo and DT880 Pro or HD600.

Best Luck!
