I saw an LDM+ here on head-fi that sold for $55 including shipping. Now, I'm not really up for dropping a few hundred on an amp at the moment, so something like that would work for me. Source problems aside for a moment, I've got an HD580 with an Audigy 2ZS that I'd like to amp a bit.

Other than trying to catch an LDM+ here (would rather not ebay), what are my other choices as far as things with a sub-$100 price tag go?

You can try to get a pint or pimeta used. I echo robflow's statement about the ldm+. Not enough voltage to make a significant improvement. I'm planning on getting a go-vibe 5 which should be better.

The C&C Box powers the Senns nicely. 150 mW per channel and works as a home or portable amp. I've been using it with a pair of HD650s for a month.

try the Go-Vibe. For $75 on the Go-Vibe V5, it's a great little amp for use with the HD-580. I think Norm (the maker of the Go-Vibes) uses he HD-580 himself.

You can also try the V5s, which allows you to play with switching different OpAmps

Just saw the other thread on that amp. Its about the same size as the LDM+ but with more power you say?
