I am making small music center with Raspberry Pi 2 + Fiio E10k.
Fiio is nice little DAC/AMP but need volume pot at near 10 to sound loud.
What budget AMP buy to have better volume control?
 
O2 with RCA input, or maybe hybrid Little DOT 1+?

The SHP8900 are only 32-Ohm, should be very easy for the E10K to drive them.
Have you tried turning the computer's main volume up to 100%, or at least near 100% ?
Of course turn the E10K's volume way down before upping the volume on the computer.
