Yes the Magni 2 will work well for those headphones.  There is also the Fiio K5 for around the same price, it is comparable to the Schiit.

Solid state amps when driven within their means are going to sound the same.  A better amp will have a higher output and less distortion, but it's not going to color the sound.  A tube amp can color the sound depending on what tubes are used, but this is by design.  The Magni 2 is a good solid amp that can drive a wide variety of headphones.
