Got this lovely tube amp made by Voice of Music and i am planning to make a enclosure ( a nicer base)
 
Need some opinion, should i keep the preamp separate or incorporate it into the base of the power amp ?

What about putting a nice paint job on the current enclosure and then surrounding it with some crown molding a la Decware?

I was actually thinking about doing that but it would look odd with the wire loom from the preamp plugging sticking out

are you able to detach it? maybe you could sleeve it or drill another hole and run it out the back?
