So, I have a mojo and emotiva mini a (speaker tap) and bifrost 4490 already but I feel very underwhelmed when listening through Ether C's.

I have $2000 for DAC/amp (combo or separates) and listen to pretty much every kind of music except rap and country.
I like pianos to sound like pianos and details with musical presentation.
I have a lot of Dsd and flac music as well as Tidal.

Any suggestions? (Can Jam NYC can't come soon enough)

I suggest you try to get ears on an Ayre Codex. You'd have to get special cables to use the preferred balanced output, though. (I still think it sounds fine single-ended.)

I'll be at CJNYC next week (can't wait), I don't think Ayre are attending but I know that the $$ will be burning a hole in my pocket...
