Hi everyone,
My name is Gabriel and this is my first post.
I have been using HD595s for 18 years, and I thought they were awsome, up to the point where I got cosy with the HD700s and then I was introduced to a new world of music quality.
So now that I have purchased myself a pair of HD700s , I was wondering, since the 595s are really easy to drive, just 50 ohms and in comparison to the 700 which are 150 ohms, do I need an amp/dac to get the max out of them?

Headphone Inventory:
HD595 HD700 Bose QC25
Source Inventory:
Yamaha RX-V3800 Denon DVD SACD 2930
Other Audio Equipment:
PC with creative sound blaster x-fi titanium fatal1ty pro

The 700 are easy to drive but I've heard they sound amazing from a tube amp. They should definitely sound better with good gear, as with lots of high end headphones

If I was you, with the current hardware, I would run an optical cable from the Fatal1ty Pro, to the Yamaha, and plug the HD700 into the Yamaha's headphone jack.
If you did want to try a separate DAC/amp (for PC use), might try and talk you into getting a Darkvoice 336SE OTL tube headphone amplifier ($214-$275) and a Hifimediy (optical) DAC ($65).
