Hey everyone, I'm looking for a new amp/Dac for my new pair of ultrasone 900 pros and was hoping you could help.
Budget: ~250$
desktop/portable: preferably portable
looking for: Much stronger presence from the mids, bass is perfect (if a little loud), a little less from the treble... its good but borders on the harsh.
I'v searched around and am having trouble finding a portable that focuses on the mids with a price tag around 250$. I was looking at the fiio e17 but get the impression that its more a neutral amp/dac that pushes a bit towards the treble range. Are there any amp/dacs out there that give more of a focus to the mid range? Or does it matter what the amp/dac sounds like to begin with since I assume you can change the sound of it through Eq settings?
