AMP/DAC for Sennheiser HD 700 headphones

What if I pair the O2+ODAC with my kenwood amplifier (which also has a tuner)? Will I be able to use the Kenwood's tuner? And will it only use the ODAC as DAC and use the kenwood's amp instead of the O2?

yep thats all right, you'll be running the rca output from the dac to the rca input on the keenwood, thus bypassing the the o2 and letting the keenwood amplify and you use the tuner

Matrix M-Stage if your skint, with a DAC of your choice.

Got cash... save up for a Sennheiser HDVA600 use it with a Matrix Mini I Pro DAC which is DXD/DSD compatible.

Funny enough, I only bought the Matrix Mini for it's DAC, but it does have a built in amp, this is $650AUD

Haven't tried it though.. I've been enjoying it plugged into the HDVA:wink:

SO, what you could do, is buy the Mini I Pro on it's own, then add the HDVA, or another amp of your choice, when you have funds:)

Not a fan of the 700's out of the Schiit's, of all their amps, I thought the Valhalla 2 was the best, but the Matrix M-Stage kicked it in the nuts:wink:

Save up that $90 and get a good DAC (e.g. Resonessence Labs Herus) , JDS is not quite famous for their DAC

Do you mind linking the dac or amp you recommend, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for the quick responses.
