My question specifically pertains to the CMoy but could apply to any portable amp I guess. The question is, how low should measured voltage get before you stop using that battery in your amp? I've been using a 9 volt battery in my CMoy for about 2 months and now it's reading at about 7.9 volts.

At what level should I stop? Does quality degrade over time? Is there are good set level to stop at, or should I use it until it won't amplify anymore?

The executive summary is that it only matters if you can hear it. Briefly try your fresh spare battery, and switch to it if you can tell the difference.

Hi,

It is 5V if you are using OPA132 or OPA2132 (OPA134 or OPA2134).
