You guys should look into a Meier Audio Headfive. $250, great little amp, sounds very good with DT770/80.

Even that is too rich for my blood=(

Really I'd just to like to know if the Little Dot II is suitable for the DT770s (80). I know it's a good amp for its price (good reviews), but I've been told that certain amps may not work well with my particular cans.

The Little Dot Micro+ might be a good option. I was able to trial it for 2 weeks with the DT770 a few months ago and it was a good combo from what I can remember. It controlled the bass from being overly boomy and helped flesh out the mids.

Another option which I haven't heard is the Portaphile X3. Hasn't been mentioned much lately. Should offer marginally better sound quality than the LDM+.
