I bought an Ultimate Ears super.fi 5 pro about a year ago. Reading that it was somewhat durable I didn't put it in its case or anything, just in my pocket or backpack.

Anyway, now it seems that it is kinda broken. The sound cuts out when the wire bends (the specific location is where the cord protrudes from the headphone jack). If its straightened, the sound is fine. This is particularly annoying when walking around.

Is there a way to fix this?

Or you can cut the cable before the broken part and reterminate it.

deffinately simpler to get a replacement cable
