To set the output correctly on my PC I created a 1khz tone at 0db and played that through my headphones at low volume. I raised the volume slider on my PC till I heard distortion then brought it down a couple notches. Good, right? Now I'm curious on how loud these babies can go on the amp, I usually listen to music at around 90db depending on the song. I use a Radioshack SPL meter and a cardboard cutout so it covers the entire ear pad. Not perfect but should give me an idea. Max peak SPL I was able to get was 110db, does that seem right to you guys? I thought it would be much louder, according to this review http://www.innerfidelity.com/images/MrSpeakersMadDogA.pdf he only needed 0.52mw for 90db. For 117db I should need around 250mw which I think the O2 should be able to do at 50ohms.
