I was just thinking the other day about how much I like Altoids, and I thought I would post a poll here on head-fi. I am pesonally quite partial to the cinnamon variety (can't get enough of those

). They don't really freshen my breath though.

By the way, this poll was prompted when a comedian on television said, "Someone who uses Altoids doesn't need a breath mint, he needs a tongue scraper."

What do you think?

I like the Altoid Citrus Sour's. Of course they don't freshen the ol' breath.

For me, sugar based mints such as Altoids can actually make the breath worse. I'm not too fond of the taste, either. For taste you can't beat those yummy orange-flavored Tic Tacs.

Agreed, it may be better temporarily but in the long run can make it worse. Probably the best idea is just to brush several times/day, and if necessary use a breath spray or sugar free mints.

I like super strong mints, but last time I check Altoids were made with dead animal bits (gelatin). Yuck!

I've come to discover that the regular Altoids don't do anything for me, taste or breath-wise.

Currently I'm digging Eclipse mints.

I'll second that. Love that Nick Nolte portrait, one of my favorites.

Gelatin is dead animal bits? If so yuck is right. Now I feel like a roast beef sandwich. Dead animal slices I can handle

I bought some regular altoids last year due to the advertisment-"curiously strong mints."
I found them to be curiously mild.
