I'm thinking of getting the a900xltd, but would like some recommendations on similar level of headphones (price and quality) to consider. I mainly listen to EDM and indie pop.

Thanks.

unfortunately the w1000x is almost double the price of a a900xltd over here..

Where is "over here" and what is the price you can get the ATH-A900XLTD for?

I'm in Singapore. the 900xltd is around 350usd and the w1000x is a whooping 800usd haha

You can order the ATH-W1000X for $450, straight from Japan.

$350 for the ATH-A900XLTD seems low, any chance they are fakes?

I heard my friend who tried and owned most of ATH headphones that A900XLTD can be replaced with EW9, CK100pro, W3000ANV, W2002, and W1000.

Any reason your posting answers on threads that have not been used in months?
Just asking.

Well, I am about to get an A900XLTD so I got excited and did some research. And to your other replys in my other post: http://www.head-fi.org/t/730323/amp-dac-for-a900xltd/15#post_11887670

I am about to sell my DT880 and I just wish to lay some thought on it before it is gone. If there is a problem on old threads with new posts, then I won't do it (sorry I am new). But just you know that the info I put down cost me hours and hours of listening and researching.
