Williams Hart Electronics here in the UK sells the 50k pot for £16.40 http://users.classicfm.net/williamshart/accessories.htm

These are the genuine pots and not these Micky mouse efforts being punted out on e-bay.

If it's on ebay, in general it's a fake. There was a >100 post thread about stepped attenuators claiming to be alps blue.

Rapid Electronics in the UK sell the 50K pot for £10.00 including shipping if the order is under £30, or £8.50 otherwise. Not sure if thats any help though seeing as you live in Canada... Is there RS Components in Canada??
