Hi, Someone offered me Alpha potentiometers.
for this price 25x 10K audio - $92.50 ($3.70 per unit)

thats what he told me:

these are: 0.04W / 100V, 15,000 cycles, +/-300 degrees rotation angle, PC
mount, flat D shaft 6.0mm

very high quality.

data sheet > http://img120.exs.cx/img120/6766/alpha.jpg

I need your suggestion. are they good as panasonic evj or alps?

Thank you!

The alpha rv122 I tried made some real scratchy noises when I turned them. Not a clean sound at all. I have another but I never tried it.

I use clarostat 585 pots which I got from state-elec.com for around 3.33 each ( I bought 6 of them.) shipped. These are really really small, and sound excellent, as good as my panasonic evj's. And they fit on a standard protoboard; the alpha rv122 does not.

Mouser carries those at 2.84 each. #313-1240-

They're OK, not as smooth as the panasonics, but much easier to work with if you're not doing a PC board mount for them.

That's one the folks on DIYAudio rave about isn't it? I'm not aware of anyplace in the US that sells them.

no idea, i dont frequent diyaudio, i would have thought you could get them at mouser? they seem to stock a lot of alpha stuff.

i tested them in my cmoy first now im using them in my synthacon for tactility, and the fact itll likely live in smoke filled clubs for mostof its life
