Alpha & Delta AD01

Well, I got them and...I'm not really impressed by them to be honest. They are more difficult to drive than my other sets, and sincerely my $50 Astrotec G50 sounds better to me. Built is top notch, has a lot of tips, a cool case, they are surprisingly not heavy and comfortable, but sound wise they are really not that impressive. If they were a $50-$70 set I could justify the cost, but at $100 there's simply too much competing, better IEs.

since when the Astrotec G50 cost USD50? i thought they are much more expensive? hehe. I am wary of the MMCX connectors though. The AD01 connectors are better!

I got them for around that price. And no question about it, the connectors on the AD01 are better. If it was up to me, all sets with replaceable cables would use this type of connectors, they are much more convenient.

Aww, meng...

Def Leppard, Dokken, Mötley Crüe, Quiet Riot, RATT, Whitesnake...

Those were the days, my friend

You got that right.  Styx, The Cars, Pink Floyd, I could go on and on.  Music was great and I had some of the happiest days of my life back then.

I don't have the AD01 but... according to ljokerl's review the AD01 has a 5.5mm nozzle, which is the same as RE-400. The T-400 fits with the RE-400 and apparently can also fit the T-500, but Comply officially recommends the T-400.

So T-400.

Edit: doing a search on this thread shows people have been successful with the T-500.

Just wanted to confirm, the 500 series of Comply fits on the AD01?  I don't know how different each series is, and I don't want to order the wrong one.

I agree with @RERO, the 400 series work fine.

As a quick explanation, the numbers attached to each Comply eartip model corresponds to their bore sizes (e.g. S-100, T-400, etc.). The 100 series is the narrowest bore model, with increasing bore sizes as the number designation increases.

Hope this helps.

I use T500.

Thanks for the info, and nice review!  I don't want to sacrifice bass so I will stick with the included foam tips.  I was more interested in a possibly better fit.  Are there recommended Comply tips that would not sacrifice bass, such as the Ts/Tsx Comfort line?

I haven't tried other Complys, only T500 so far, and it sounds good.
