Oh, that's a harmonic on the acoustic guitar Duane was playing. You get this by gently touching the string, but not pushing it to the fret at a harmonic node on the string and plucking it simultaneous with pulling your fretting finger off the string. I guess because I play guitar and always knew what this was, I never really thought about the fact that it kind of sounds like a doorbell.

frabon, Thanks for your info, but believe it or not my father told and played that "Harmonics Effect" many years ago for me. He always thought Duane was one of the best guitarist That I ever played for him.....I just always thought Duane knew it would freek some of his listeners out! It still makes me laugh......Damn you got to admit "HE" was one of the best! Don't you think? I wonder what he'd be playin' now??? Happy picking, and thanks for your reply!

fjrabon, It chimes (DING DONG) at 1:12 into this very short fantastic acoustic guitar instrumental. PS "Ding Dong" are my on words to discribe the actual door bell sound, listen you'll hear it. get back to me when you stop laughing when you hear it...

This thread is too funny! If that's a doorbell it's the most melodic, in tune doorbell ever. It needs an agent to represent it
