has anyone tried returning an opened/used IEM that was in new condition ? how did it go? ive never used aliexpress before and was considering ordering but wasnt sure about the return experience..
The good thing is they do keep the money in escrow until you the buyer have certified u recieved a satisfactory product then they release the money to the seller. But returns policy is difficult on Aliexpress. Their CS and warranty policies are not like Amazon.
Aliexpress makes you take videos/photos and use delaying tactics for returns.
Even if they do accept returns, the costs of returning things to China is prohibitive, and may even cost more than the IEM itself.
Ditto--if you can find it from an American seller, you are much better off. I would never buy a big-ticket item from Ali.
Tangentially, I have never figured out how Ali has such low shipping costs -- even by boat to a USA bulk shipper to USPS, how can they ship an under-$5 item for free?
If you have to send something back to China, it'll probably cost you more than the difference for the same item between Amazon and Ali. With any luck, you can find a reputable US seller (among Head-Fi sponsors or not) that's not Amazon. Some Ali sellers (like Linsoul, Moondrop, Shenzen Audio, etc.) also have Amazon stores that give you better protection.
