@kmhaynes Maybe you can find a good cable recommendation here... What is your budget for a silver cable?

Preferred budget $100 or less.

@szore pointed me here -- I have the Campfire Dorado and looking for a silver mmcx 3.5mm cable to brighten them up a bit. If anyone has knowledge / experience with a silver cable that would for sure do that, I'd appreciate a link or 2. Thanks!

I will be honest. Its going to be difficult trust the chinese sellers to make a pure silver cable. For under $100, its most likely going to be some kind of silver/copper alloy, even at the higher prices its hard to trust them to use pure silver. With that said.

I think the performance of these cables punch higher than their weight.

I purchased the palladium, silver, gold mix cable that @szore recommended and it is an amazing cable. And I know this sounds silly but I think the cable affects the sound more than the iem.

I also have the hakugei healer cable which I took to canjam to test on various iems including the UM Mentor, Empire Ears odin, odyssey and bravado and pretty much all the FIR audio iems. The sound improvement with that cable over the stock cables was absurd. I forgot to go look for szore there, I was meeting several people and lost track of things in the midst of trying to sample everything. Witness @msing539 .

I think if you ask the seller Hiclass HIFI Connector Store and mention szore and me, he'd be willing to discount the price.

If thats too far beyond your budget, one of my friends keeps recommending the Hakugei Mona lisa cable. I haven't tried it myself though.

Its not pure silver but he says it outperforms some of the effect audio mid level offerings he's tested.

This is a copper silver alloy cable comprising of cuag10 which is apparently 12% silver and 88% copper by weight. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can explain if that is more or less than sterling silver, seems like less because pure silver is very light compared to copper. Also has a silver copper alloy foil shield.

It's true... that cable made some $3500 IEMs sound like they were actually worth their price. Even makes the TRN ST5 sound significantly better.

The one he listened to is the hakugei healer cable.

I think the palladium mix cable offers better highs and I'm told the hakugei mona lisa is better with treble accentuation.

They seemed to have raised the price on the healer since I bought it though, it was about $80 when I bought it.

Gotcha, thx, both sound like what I'm looking for! Thank you.

Since according to your message, the only difference between the two variants of the P902 AC cable are the connectors, I'm thinking to just get the cheaper one, then see what can be done to improve things with my trusty Silver Faraday Tape shielding hack on one or both sides. I could even replace the connectors with the really nice looking ones from my Wells Audio Signature replica cable that I don't like. But I have a sneaking suspicion that perhaps the wire is different between the two, that the more expensive one has shielding? Or did you see any shielding on the cheaper one when you took it apart?

Edit - the descriptions of both cables also concur that the cable itself should be the same.

That's correct @DecentLevi and @Jake2, exactly the same cable, connectors being the only difference.

Puzzled - the Healer seems not to be the gold, palladium, silver coated mix cable szore has recommended?
