So, I want some custom earphones. The alien ears look good, and from USA to uk the price is good too.

Only thing is which to go for. I currently have twin driver shures (not sure which model) about 4 years old. I don't want them to sound worse than these, so originally was looking at the AE2. The AE3 is only £20 more though, so would seem a no brainer. Thing is, I can't find any reviews, so would I be better off getting the cheaper AE1 and seeing if I like the house sound, upgrading at a later date if happy with them?

I listen to varied pop/house/indie/electronic music. My fullsize cans are ATH AD700 which I am very happy with. My source is lossless files from the iPhone. I am hoping to be able to use them on the motorbike among other things.

Anyone care to pass on their findings with these phones, good or bad?

Try for some of the earlier pages because that thread is mostly about what pretty colors and little logos people want on their pair.
