The MS-1 is not as bright as the SR125, and I find that the MS-1 has a bit more bass to. The Alessandro's are tuned to tame the highs, and take the edge off of the top end!
Comparing the SR-80 to the MS-2 (character-wise in general), the Alessandro has a more laid-back presentation. Bass is tuneful rather than plentiful, mids are less forward and highs better extended but imho still rather too strong.
The Alessandro is still comparatively aggressive to the Senns. What Alessandro has done with their cans is more like re-tuning the drivers for a less coloured presentation while still closely maintaining the Grado character.
