Can someone give me their opinions on the synergy of this setup? I've had the Alessandros before, but am unfamiliar with the Headroom amps. I do like the idea of AMP+DAC combo though. Thanks.

My first set-up for the MS-2s was a MicroDAC/SR-71 combo; I found it to be superb for the price point. I'm sure you'd have similar success switching in the MicroAmp; that DAC will make either amp sing.

Most say the MicroAMP is neutral, but I believe it to be bright. The MicroDAC is a very nice piece though, and it will have good synergy with just about any amp

I have the Microstack. Even though it is my first higher end amp combo with amp/dac, I enjoy them a lot. They drive my AKG 701s and HD 650s very well.
