Alessandro MS-1's better than Grado SR-80's?

my answer is "yes" = the ms-1 is more comparable to the SR125 than the sr-80. plus my old pair are in the sale forums now for a better price than sr80s new. you can get them with a mini plug and 1/4 adapter, or with a 1/4 plug (like mine are, i bought a mini plug adapter to go with it). hope that helps - btw i'm not pushing for profit, as master0blaster owns my old pair now and he's the one selling.

Don't know if they're better. But for your tastes I'd go for the sr-80, but doesn't matter too much. The MS1, *to me*, needed some more aggression for rock.

"Series One W/ Mini Plug Adaptor" means the jack is terminated to 1/8" w/ a screw/plug-on adaptor that converts in to 1/4", IIRC.

SR-80 is USD$95
MS-1 is USD$99

if you're talking used, then we can get into that discussion entirely in a different thread -- and it'll be never ending.
