I've been browsing these forums for a long time, and I have my first question:

I'm thinking about getting an Ipod (5.5G) and I already have all my music on my computer in MP3 format. I used WMP11 to rip my cd's, do the auto tagging, and add in the album art. If I import it all into Itunes, will it bring all the album artwork with it or will I have to re-do it all? I figure if I'm not going to watch movies on it, what's the point of having the big screen without the album covers.

Thanks!

iTunes, and iPod, don't seem to be able to use folder.jpg. (which is a jpg of the coverart placed in the album folder). But if you have the jpg's embedded in the MP3 tags, you're covered.

I don't know if they're embedded in the tags, but I doubt it.

Is there something in iTunes that is similar to the WMP "find album info" that will get the album art for me? If not, that would be a long process to attach the cover art to every song.

If you right click on the song or group of songs, there's an option called "Get Album Artwork" or something like that. As long as your tags are right and the album is in the iTunes database, it should work.
