Hello,
I'm thinking of getting my young nephew a Schiit stack (Magni 2 or perhaps a Valli and a Modi 2), but his current HP are the AKG Y50 - talented but can they really show the potential of the Schiit?

The Y50 impedance is 32 and it's currently being used mainly with a  laptop and an android phone...

Your advice is welcome!

Thanks!

A clean DAC is usually much better than what's on a laptop, and an amp with more power can never hurt. Maybe the Fulla would be a better companion? For $200, I think new headphones like M50x's or similar could be a great idea as well and show more improvement.

Thanks Guys,
For various reasons I don't want to bring him headphones, but that would be the next upgrade...

I also like the fact you could add active speakers with the Magni Uber at a later stage,

Thanks for the help!
