[Macmuffin]

I just got a brand new pair of AKG Q701s, and it kinda feels as if the right ear cup is more closed, where the left ear cup feels more open.
 
I'm not sure if it's just me or what's going on with them.
 
If anyone has any ideas i would love to hear them.

Remove the earpads and look inside the cups, there should be two donut-shaped foam rings.  Perhaps one of them is not properly placed or maybe even missing?

Foam rings look to be good. I think i know whats going on. One ear cup is making a better seal on my head. at least that's what it kinda feels like

Then do check the pad orientation on both to see if the angled pads are alligned the correct way; thicker side towards the back.

Pads look to be in the right position. Maybe my head is oddly shaped. haha
