I seen this little news in a China forum, erji.net:
¡°ÁÚÌý¡±AKG by Harman 2010 ÖйúÐÂÆ··¢²¼»á£¡ ¶ú»ú´ó¼Ò̳ È«Çò×î´óÖÐÎĶú»úÂÛ̳

AKG have a privite show in China for the new release. There are NO new flagship. But in the talk, there is a flash of slide show that AKG dose have a new flagship, seem to be like a K701 combine with SA5000.

It is also mention that the new flagship will be release in the Cebit 2010 (SPET. 2010).

I hope this is not a April fool, anyone have more news on this?

The Chinese is seem to play Fools anytime in a year. not only April.

As it is so untrustable, I would like to have a confirmation here.

Eventho I haven't heard the K701 I highly doubt so lol. Anyway new headphone = win. You try it on and you may realize how much you have been missing and if not your wallet will thank you. It's win-win solution

K1000 was a prelude to K701.

if AKG was thinking so highly of K1000 they wouldn't have discontinued it.
