I'm sitting here with brand new superlux hd 662 evo but not really pleased with the boosted bass or comfort...
The 668b would be a option if the comfort would satisfy my ears and head. They are choosey.
Recently I found akg k92 with great reviews on comfort and sound. Are they comparable with superlux?

EQ them, you will be pleased and replace the earpads for something more comfortable

I'm counting to change to hd601 velour pads. How about modding them with toilet paper or handkerchief? My 662s sounds more balanced that way, with less edge on the treble. That just with two thin layers.

I'm not the only one.
Looking for easier mods on the 688b, without dissamble it.
Maybe paper is the solution.

I never heard that you can mod your audio gear with some toilet paper

lots of people will put thin paper, cloth, foam etc inside the ear cups between the ear and the driver to tame treble

The 688b looks like the right choice for me...
Like the changeable cable solution. (If it it's holding up.)
About the pads, know the HD 681 pads fits, likewise the akg 240 pads.
Is the 240 pads worth it? They are double in price.

The cable's pretty good so you shouldn't have problems with it

AKG pads are a good idea, it supposed to be the same size so yeah. I have some Brainwavz's memory foam pads, they're pretty comfortable
