I tried my AKG K81s today at a 45-50% volume, and my left ear began to burn, like stingy heat sorta is what i would describe it, My hearing was fine no ringing etc, but just this heaty stingy sensation, oing on I never had it before, with the AKGs, and than i switched to the KSC-75, same sound level, but no heaty stingy sensation in my ear. Btw the reason for the 45-50 % level, was at a busy road, and my family car has no sound insulation. Btw i wasnt driving lol.

Is your ear drum warm or is the fleshy part of the ear warm? The akg's push your ear against your head and so your ear will be insulated and pressed against your head which gives off a lot of heat.

Outside and a little discomfort inside the ear aswell, This never happened before, the AKGs are tight but but i got use to it, I only got it in one ear which made no sense either.

Maybe it's pushing too hard on your ears? Peel back the rubber on the headband and try stretching it outward to alleviate pressure.
