How do those two match up? I love SR60 sound. Would I like K81?

Apples and Oranges. Open up front can vs. Closed portable more laid back can. The AKGs took the place of my SR80s but I didnt need the same up front rock sound sig that many Grado fans do.

You may consider the HD485, which I personally greatly like and find somewhat forward sounding (for my standards at least - never heard a Grado).

That's what I did, bought SR225. So I think its worth to try it and I am sure you will love them
